Who are Kidsitters?

Kidsitters is a third party (independent) platform that connects parents who are looking for childcare services with independent or home-based babysitters in their local community at an affordable cost.

What kind of child care services do you provide ?

We specialise in providing all types of babysitting and childcare services to parents, including ad-hoc, one-off, last-minute, recurring and temporary nannies to parents in Klang Valley and Johor. Do I need to register to use KidSitters ?

Yes you need to go through a quick registration process to use KidSitter. This is mainly so that we have your details and can get in touch with you during the booking. You can register here.

Do I have to pay to use KidSitters ?

No, KidSitters is free to use. You only when you make a booking.

How much does it cost ?

We charge RM 565 for Monday to Friday (8 am -5 pm) / (9 am-6 pm) excluding Public Holiday and State Holiday. Weekend childcare at an additional RM50 for monthly and hourly RM15

How does it work?

It is very simple. Whenever you need a trusted sitter to watch your little ones, please make a booking online. You can choose your preferred baby sitter from our list or we will select an available sitter from our network of recommended and qualified sitters close to your location and send you their details. How can I contact KidSitters?

You can visit the contact us page to get in touch. If you are looking to get in touch with your babysitter directly, please check your email or text messages for their details after we have confirmed your booking.

Are my details secure and safe with you?

Yes, you can rest assured we take your privacy very seriously. From having a secure website to encrypting your data, we take every step to ensure your details are safe and we never share it with any third party for marketing purposes. We encourage you to read our Privacy Policy.

What if I am not happy with the service?

If you are not happy with us, we are not happy. That is why we offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If for any reason, you are unhappy with your KidSitters experience, just let us know and we will issue you a credit for the entire amount of your booking.

About our babysitters

How do you select babysitters?

We have a 5-point vetting and selection process for babysitters. If a babysitter fails any of these checks, we do not work with them. Read more about our selection process on Our Sitters page.

How do I contact the babysitter?

KidSitters will send you the contact details of your babysitter once your booking is confirmed and we have assigned someone to you.


Can I meet the babysitter before the booking?

We recommend parents to make a booking for parent and child/children can meet the sitter beforehand. Parents also have the chance to call the sitter and chat in advance of a booking. However, since the sitters incur real costs, for example, travel, we don’t request sitters to attend face-to-face interviews without payment.

What if I don't like my babysitter?

All our babysitters come highly recommended by people just like you and also go through a rigorous selection process. Also, every babysitter we have is highly rated, or else they would not be part of KidSitter. When you make a booking, we assign a babysitter who is available for your booking and send you a link to their profile page. You can view their details, including reviews and feedback from other parents. We also encourage you to call the babysitter directly and speak to them if you have any concerns. If you don’t like what you see or hear, you can always request a different babysitter.

Do the babysitters arrange for their transportation?

Yes, babysitters generally arrange for their transportation at no cost to you. In exceptional circumstances, if they require compensation for their transportation, we will inform you of this before confirming your booking.

What if my sitter does not arrive on time?

We will make every effort to make sure your sitter shows up on time. If your sitter is late for any reason, please do not hesitate to contact us immediately. We will make amends on their behalf.

Can my sitter stay a bit longer if I am running late?

For bookings already in progress, if you are running late, please get in touch with the babysitter as soon as possible and work it out with her. Also, let us know as soon as possible so we can charge the prorated amount to you and pay the babysitter for the extra time.

Can I review a babysitter?

We want to know how the babysitting got on. That is why we strongly encourage you to rate and review your babysitter. After the babysitter completes the job, you will receive an email with a link to review them.

What happens if there is an emergency?

All our babysitters have childcare experience and know-how to react in emergencies. They also have your contact details so you will be called immediately if there is an emergency.

Are your babysitters JKM registered?

Some of our babysitters, especially those who are childminders are JKM registered. However, this is not a requirement to be a babysitter. JKM registration is required for childminders who provide care for children on their premises.

Does KidSitter employ the babysitters?

KidSitters does not employ babysitters. The babysitters work for themselves. Think of us like an Airbnb, or an Uber. We receive many applications from babysitters who wish to work with us. However, our vetting processes are very thorough, and we accept only about one in ten applicants.

Can I book a babysitter directly by contacting the babysitter?

No, you may not book a babysitter by getting in touch with them directly. That would be a breach of our Terms and Conditions. If you need to book a particular babysitter, you can do so through KidSitters.

Do you have babysitters who specialise in newborns and/or twins?

Yes, we do have babysitters who have had sole charge of newborns and twins. At the time of booking, we ask for your child(ren)’s age(s) so we can match you up with someone with the appropriate experience.

Booking and Payment

How far in advance do I have to book?

You can book as much as a month in advance to one day before you need a babysitter if the booking is made between 9 AM and 6 PM, on all days of the week.

Can I book someone at a few hours notice?

Yes, you can make a booking that is at least two hours away. Please note that bookings that start less than 12 hours there will be an additional charges.


Is there a minimum period of booking?

Yes, there is a three hour minimum for each booking. This provides an incentive for a babysitter to accept your booking, otherwise, their travel time and transportation costs don’t justify accepting the booking.

What is the cancellation policy?

We understand that plans can change. So we offer full refunds for cancellations made from the time of the booking until 24 hours before the sitter is due to arrive. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made less than 24 hours of the babysitter’s arrival, or if you book less than 24 hours in advance, the applicable cancellation policy is displayed before you submit the booking. We will also send you the cancellation deadline in the booking confirmation email which has the sitter details as well.

What if I need to change/extend the hours of my booking?

If your plans change and you need to amend the booking, you can do so by logging into your account and amend the booking.

Can I select which babysitter I want?

Yes, you can. At the time of booking, we match you with babysitters based on your booking details. You can shortlist babysitters you prefer from this list and indicate if you only want us to get someone from that shortlist. In that case, if no one from your shortlist accepts the booking, we will cancel your booking.

Can I book the same babysitter every time?

Yes, during the booking process, you can indicate that you only want the babysitters you’ve used in the past.

How do I pay the sitter?

That is one of the many benefits of KidSitters. You do not need to have cash on hand to pay the babysitter. In fact, you would never pay the babysitter directly. At the time of booking, we take your payment card details. KidSitters will charge your card for the amount of the booking after completion of the babysitting and will pay the babysitter directly.

Do you provide babysitting for special events or at other venues?

Yes, we provide babysitting at your special events and can set up a creche for you. We can also provide babysitters to come to a venue. Please contact us directly at if you would like for us to arrange this.

Can I make multiple bookings at once?

Yes, you can use the ‘Add another booking’ button on the booking page to enter multiple bookings at once. Please note that this button will be disabled until you fill the date/time/hours for the first booking. Once you do that, you should be able to add as many bookings as you want within the advance booking period.

Do you provide babysitting at hotels?

Yes, we provide babysitting at some of the top hotels in London.
